iOS Tips and Tricks - Delete More Contacts at Once

What is going on guys Apple Fox here and I wanted to make this video for such a long time, but I just never got to it because many things got in the way. But finally I’ve been recently on trip in Berlin, Germany and there I actually realized how annoying it is, not being able to remove more contacts than just one on an iPhone. I know people have lots of contacts stored at their phone, you can of course delete the ones you don’t need but only one at a time, so really annoying. Especially when traveling abroad, maybe you buy a new sim card and just realize you don’t really need all of those contacts, or for whatever reason you want to delete more contacts at once and you’re just not able to.
So in this video I’ll be showing you a very easy way to do that, right on your iPhone. So let’s get into it.
So the way it works, is based on another app, which actually makes everything for you. Meaning you have to download third party app from the App Store. There are plenty of different apps that can manage your contacts, but for deleting more contacts at once I recommend you to download an app called Delete contacts + which is really great. The app is of course free and also I didn’t want the app to be very large, but the Delete contacts + is just about 12 megabytes, so really great for 16 gb devices. It’s called Delete contacts + in tha App Store, but on the homescreen it’s called Multi Delete but it’s the same app you just see in the App Store.
So once you download the app, you open it up and of course to make it work you have to allow it to access your contacts, If you accidentaly click no, you can enable access in the settings again.
Inside the app you just have to go to all contacts and there you can easily select the contacts you want to delete. Down there is a panel with couple options like copy or paste, backup but the most important for us is that there is the delete button, so just click it to make them disappear.
But keep in mind that this app is only dedicated to deleting contacts, meaning you can use the classic stock Contacts app or any other Contacts app downloaded from the App Store to perform phone calls but without the contacts you just deleted in the Delete Contacts + app.
