What is going on guys Apple Fox here and as you know night shift and all that ios 9.3 stuff is reality for quite a while and i've been using the night shift mode for a month. This feature became official just three weeks ago but in the beta versions it was actually available much earlier. I wanted to make this video and let you know what I think about it and overall the usability, advantages, disadvantages and all of that. So let's get right into it.

To get started i must say that this is one of the most useful features that Apple added recently, there are other great things like the locking notes feature but night shift is that kind of thing that changed the way how i use my phone.I didn't really use my iPhone that much during night because my eyes were strained and now it's much better.

But there's one thing that drives me crazy and i just don't like it. It often happens to me that when i use my phone with night shift enabled, i automatically activate the low power mode when i get the 20% battery alert and that disables night shift. I don't really get it why apple doesn't let you use both at once cause it shouldn't take that much battery. of course the screen gets more yellow and that requires more power but I just don't think it's that much.

Another thing that would be great are more options to choose from when using the night shift mode. I mean, you can customize the color temperature in the settings but you can only make it less or more warm, that’s all. Your phone is always in that same yellow color. I would like to pick from more colors like green or orange. The blue light reduction would still be preserved but it would look different every time you want.

But on the other side i have to say that the little icon in the control centre that was added actually helps a lot. That means that you don’t have to go to settings every time you want to enable it. But there’s even better thing. In the display and brightness menu in your settings, when clicking on the night shift, you can easily Schedule the time when you want night shift to be enabled and there are two ways to do that. You can either Schedule the time manually or you just click on the sunset to sunrise option and you don’t have to worry about it. It is very useful not only in the evening when it turns on automatically but especially in the morning when you don’t have time to disable it.

But it doesn’t work on older iPhones as you know. if you have an iPhone 5 or older, after you updated to iOS 9.3 no night shift appeared. Like Apple wanted to say that if you want to have new features, you have to buy new iPhone. But they still gave you the 9.3 update. I just don’t understand what is actually going on here.
