A lot of people have asked me, most recently on the videos that DoubleT90T and I made when I was in Kansas, about my workout history. I decided to dedicate a whole vlog to it and give a little bit of history of where I started and my journey to where I am today.
I've played basketball all my life, but when I went to college, I was only playing every couple of weeks and I was eating like crap from the cafeteria. A semester went by and I felt terrible. I had gained weight and still had no muscle mass. My high school basketball coach didn't believe in weight lifting and I had never done it myself. I decided to make a change, start weight lifting, and better myself.
My journey started at 193 pounds, no muscle, and some extra fat on me. Over the first 1-1.5 months, I dropped my extra fat (about 7 pounds) and started putting muscle back on, back to 193, in time for a winter ski trip. I was on the right path.
Over the next 3 months, I was eating whatever I could and lifting all the time to try to put on mass. It worked. I was up to 207 and was noticeably larger and more muscular. But eating whatever I could had brought on a good amount of fat too. Over the next 1-1.5 months, I restricted my calories, ate healthy, and did a more intense workout. I cut down to 199 and finally had a six pack for the first time in my life without flexing.
In the years following, I revised my eating habits and workouts, trying to get on a consistent plan that could help me achieve my goals. I've had hiccups along the way, but I've gained a ton of knowledge about what my body needs and how it reacts to different things.
This is just the beginning.
