iOS 10.3 Beta 1 - Released + New Features

What is going on guys Apple Fox here and the iOS 10.3 or actually the beta of iOS 10.3 that was anticipated for such a long time has been released.
So the question you have right now is if there is the theater mode. Actually Apple has introduced the theater mode but this is definitely not the dark mode we were expecting. The actual theater mode is for the Apple Watch and it is supposed to come with next Watch OS update. The purpose of this feature is to prevent you from accidentaly turning on the screen of your Apple Watch in theater or cinema. I mean if you move your hand to grab something, the screen won’t light up.
Here as you can see, the theater mode is dedicated for the Apple Watch and it’s supposed to come with Watch OS 3.2 By the way I could not make this video any earlier because I was sick, you probably noticed my voice being a little different as well.
So the guy that predicted the theater mode was kind of right but he missed the popcorn shaped icon in the control center as well as the fact that this thing is not meant to be for iPhone at all.
Of course this update is not for everyone like the iOS 10.2.1 which you could download over the air. As I said this is the first beta, I’m not trying to guess the amount of beta versions we’ll be seeing, because the 10.2.1 did have 4 betas. Like really 4 betas for such a small update? You would think that 10.3 has to come with more unofficial versions before it drops but it could be like only 5 and that is a lot bigger update compared to 10.2.1
So what are the changes present in this version of iOS? Well as I said there is no new dark mode at all. But other than that this update is focused on adding new features and new stuff to our iPhones.
The first thing you will notice is in the settings and up there you will see a new sort of like tab where you can see your iCloud information and of course I blurred it out, but there you can find everything you need to know about your icloud. So all of your icloud and itunes data are no longer seperated but now everything is together just like it should be.
When you open it up, you’ll find there everything like Home sharing itunes information, you can change some payments stuff which seems to be really useful at the end.
The podcast app has now received a widget. I don’t really listen to podcast that much but for those people who do, it could come in handy.
Another thing that is part of this new iOS 10.3 is something that will help everyone owning the Airpods. The number one problem people were talking about even before the airpods got released is that you can lose them easily. So Apple decided that it has to be solved somehow and the came up with a brilliant idea.
We all know that there is the feature called find my iPhone and it can of course be useful. But in iOS 10.3 a new option to find your Airpods has been added. So you can literally see the airpods on map and find it in case you lose it.
But there is also a problem when you lose it somewhere around your house, and of course you’ll find them on your iPhone but you have no idea where exactly they are.
So you can also activate a high frequency sound to come out of the Airpods in order for you to find it. The first thing that came up to my mind when I heard it for the first time is that it’s not possible for the airpods to produce such a sound so I could find them. But it is possible. As I said it’s a high frequency sound. Don’t ever activate that loud sound while you’re having the airpods in your ears, cause you can get yourself into some serious troubles.
In iOS 10.3 Apps, I mean third party apps now have an option to let you rate the app right in the actual application. So instead of getting the popup that would get you to the App Store where you can do it, you just rate it inside the app.
So there you guys have it. It’s really disappointing that we still don’t have the dark mode. I’m not sure if it will ever come to our iPhones, another possibility is that we’ll see it with the release of iOS 11 but that won’t happen any sooner than in 6 months.
