Apple October 27th Event + iOS 10.1 Beta 4 and 5 Update
What is going on guys Apple Fox here and Apple has pushed out the invites for the October Apple Event. In case you are confused a little bit, because of the September Event, this one is the one where we’re going to see the macbooks. In September Apple introduced the new iPhone 7 and 7 plus. And in this video I’ll be talking about some of the rumors of the new Macbook and all you need to know about the event but also I will be talking the betas of iOS 10.1 with everything it brings.
So this is how the design of the event looks like, it’s more of a darker shade, not sure what the colors in the Apple Logo mean, maybe it’s supposed to show that new macbooks are going to feature display with more vivid colors. The tagline is Hello Again. It’s probably because the previous Apple event was just couple weeks back and now there’s another one.
If you visit Apple’s website, you can find out that it’s going to happen on the 27th of October, which is Thursday by the way, on 10 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. And there you also have an option to add the event to your calendar.
So as I said the star of the show is going to be a macbook pro. But what exactly is going to change? I mean it wouldn’t be a new macbook if there weren’t some changes.
One of the changes is that it’s going to feature a Touch ID sensor just like on iPhone. It is of course not official but It would be really great if it would happen but the rumors going around actually indicate that it’s very, very likely to happen, so definitely great news.
What else? Well we’re gonna be seeing USB Type C for charging, there will be 4 USB C slots, 2 on one side and the other 2 on the other side. Some people might get upset with it but looks like it’s the future. If Apple decides to implement the USB C into the latest macbook pro, there will be lots third party accessories and everyone will get used to it. Some other manufacturers already started to use it for example the Note 7 features the USB C, I’m not sure if Note 7 is the best example but it’s definitely not something without a future.
It of course should be lighter But there is one thing that would be super awesome and that is LED lightbar on the top of the macbook. I’m not sure if it’s very likely to happen. It is supposed show some important information like downloading progress in case you’re downloading some files and that would be really useful.
When talking about the whole macbook thing you may be like Apple is trying replace standard computers with iPads so why they are working on macbooks? Yes Apple announced iPad Pro that can be used as a Professional device but it will never be a laptop. So I don’t think Apple is making a mistake at this point of time.
We could also see an annoucement of new iMac as well as Mac Pro and Mac Mini. So this event so mainly focused on computers.
But back in September when iPhone 7 was released, we have also seen new Apple airpods, which are bluetooth earpods with some additional functionality. But we were told that it will be available late October. So it basically means there is chance that we’re going to see the Airpods available for public.
Now let’s talk about iOS 10.1. There is already beta 5 of iOS 10.1 but I wasn’t making a video for beta 4 because there was pretty much nothing to talk about. So I didn’t want to bore you showing nothing important, so instead I wanted to compile this video to show you all together.
This is the beta 4, it’s really small, just about 30mb and that means there no changes. In the description stands the usual sentence saying it contains bug fixes and improvements and if you follow my beta videos you know that I don’t like it at all.
And here is the Beta 5. It’s a huge update with almost 2 gb. This could possibly be the GM version which stands for Golden Master. It means that this is the exact same version of the OS like the one that’s going to be released for public with the difference that this one is only for developers. The iOS 10.1 could also be pushed out on the October Apple Event.
